In The Inactivists’ never-ending desire to both indulge and satirize all of the usual rock-star tropes, they’re now taking a page out of the playbooks of such luminaries as Tony Bennett, Barbara Streisand, and Carlos Santana. On Saturday October 4th at 8:00pm at the The Walnut Room, (3131 Walnut Street, www.thewalnutroom.com) The Inactivists will be presenting an evening that they are calling “American Idle”. The Inactivists are going to make a blatant appeal to a new, younger audience by doing a night of duets featuring some of the biggest and brightest stars in the Denver music scene that they could talk into this, while also trying to convince their longtime fans, yes ordinary citizens, to get up and sing with them, live band karaoke style! Also on the bill is Total Ghost, Pythian Whispers and Gort vs Goom...Maybe they will be singing with us too!
