In The Inactivists’ never-ending desire to both indulge and satirize all of the usual rock-star tropes, they’re now taking a page out of the playbooks of such luminaries as Tony Bennett, Barbara Streisand, and Carlos Santana. On Saturday October 4th at 8:00pm at the The Walnut Room, (3131 Walnut Street, www.thewalnutroom.com) The Inactivists will be presenting an evening that they are calling “American Idle”. The Inactivists are going to make a blatant appeal to a new, younger audience by doing a night of duets featuring some of the biggest and brightest stars in the Denver music scene that they could talk into this, while also trying to convince their longtime fans, yes ordinary citizens, to get up and sing with them, live band karaoke style! Also on the bill is Total Ghost, Pythian Whispers and Gort vs Goom...Maybe they will be singing with us too!

I know this is short notice, Gort vs Goom (that's us) will be playing at the Sparkfun AVC this Saturday June 21. This is a very cool event if you are a maker, hacker, or have any interest in robots. We will be playing at 1-1:30 ish. The AVC is free but they would like you to register ahead of time. Come on out and help us welcome our new robot overlords.

Damn, it's been a long time sense we have played a show. We are amped up for this one, and pleased to be sharing the stage with mountain maniacs Hillbilly Riot!

Finally!! It's here!! The show! The really BIG shew!! The one you've been waiting for! The one I've been waiting for!! But not just a show, a FESTIVAL! With seven, count 'em, SEVEN opening acts performing THEIR renditions of Little Fyodor songs as heard on the brand new Little Fyodor CD, The Unscratchable Itch!! (Put out by Public Eyesore Records!) If you only see ONE Little Fyodor & Babushka show this year, or ever, THIS is the one to see! Of course, you should see them all, but if you only see ONE, THIS is the one!!

 Last time we played the Skylark we were billed as Girt vs Goom. This time I am hoping for Girth vs Gloom or something like that. Anyways, the Skylark is an awesome bar and we are playing with the Lollygags,dammit.
